Today on the blog, we’re talking about a very up and coming tile that I’m confident you will all fall in love with. If you’re in any way familiar with 70’s design trends, you know this material. Terrazzo tile made it big in both residential and commercial design back in the day. Mainly because of it’s long-lasting quality and ability to be refinished repeatedly. Slowly but surely we’re seeing this material work it’s way back into modern design.

So what is terrazzo you may ask? This material is traditionally made by exposing marble chips on the surface of concrete and then polishing until smooth. How easy we have it these days, everything comes in tile + slab form! All that to say, we love it’s raw and unique look. And the many different ways you can incorporate it into your home! See our gathered inspiration below.

For today’s materials post we wanted to go over the topic of wood species! We all know that natural wood cabinetry has been making a big appearance in homes for the past couple of years. And more and more people are catching the wave of their beauty! But it’s so important that you pick the right  wood finish in order for your home to look modern and updated rather than outdated

Always always always, I steer clients clear from using woods with red or orange undertones. Not only will this date the look of your cabinetry, but you’ve now just shortened the years of your cabinetry’s longevity. It’s so much easier to get sick of these cherry wood style cabinets, quicker!
